Annie Hathorn Stylist at Gore Salon in Columbia SCWelcome, Annie - one of our newest stylists at Gore. Born and raised in Virginia, Annie was a nationally competitive synchronized swimmer before going to the University of Virginia to study history. She dreamed of being a history professor in an idyllic little college town. She was always drawn to the beauty industry but didn’t have the guts to jump into cosmetology school after high school. It was two years out of college and in the work world when Annie realized that she wanted to pursue her passion and become a stylist. It was ultimately her own hairstylist who encouraged her to go for it! So she enrolled in Graham Webb Academy in Arlington, Virginia for hair school and rest is history. Annie is patient, kind, and thorough and has a natural ability to listen to and connect with her clients - all traits that help make a stylist successful. She finds joy in making people feel great about how they look. She particularly enjoys performing haircuts because a refreshed hairstyle is a simple way to make someone feel fabulous. Annie says the single greatest motivating factor in her life is her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior.

Allison Carroll, Hair Stylist at Gore Salon in Columbia, SCAllison is a natural in the hair business. She knew she wanted to be a hair stylist back in middle school, when she started styling hair for her friends and family just for fun. She's outgoing and approachable and loves working with people. Allison is from Irmo, SC, attended Dutch Fork High School and graduated from Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. She's talkative, and loves to have a good time, even at her own expense. She remembers a time while in hair school, she had just finished up a client's cut and went to get a broom to sweep up. She took a step, slipped on the hair and fell in front of everyone. She was so embarrassed, but admits that it was hilarious and had a good laugh herself! She loves making clients feel confident and beautiful. Seeing the look on a client's face when she sees her transformation is the most gratifying part of her job and it's what drives her to learn more and grow.
