Terri has been in the salon industry since 1974. She has also held a South Carolina Teaching License since 1978. Her passion for teaching is only surpassed by her passion for the hair industry.
Terri was a Redken Performing Artist for 9 years and it was one of the major highlights of her career. The inspiration and education that Terri received while working for Redken has made her into the true salon professional she is today. Being in the Cosmetology field for over 40 years, Terri has enjoyed watching the evolution and growth of the industry. She also loves coaching young salon professionals to help them reach their full potential.
Her inspiration for hair comes from everything around her, from kids on the street to nature and art. Her creativity shines when designing a color and cut that matches her client’s personality and lifestyle. Her favorite tools are top of the line shears and a large variety of curling irons and flat irons. Terri is known as the tool junkie. The products she could not do without are Pureology Color Addict Heat Protectant, Redken Stay High Mousse, Redken Grip Tight and firm hold hair spray!
There are so many hilarious salon stories working behind the chair for over 40 years. Terri’s favorite story is the woman that hid her cardboard bottles of wine in the commode tank in the restroom.
Terri enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She also enjoys her boat on Lake Murray, traveling and scuba diving.
Terri said if she wasn’t a hair stylist she would love to be a plastic surgeon, too bad the sight of blood makes her faint!
