Originally from Batesburg-Leesville, Fran has fond memories of growing up in a hair salon. From a young age, she loved being in the salon environment and knew she wanted to be a hair stylist when she grew up.
She graduated the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology and still laughs about her last day. As she was shampooing a client, someone called the woman who she sat up abruptly. Fran pulled the sprayer back to avoid soaking the client but proceeded to spray herself in the face.
