Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast-cancer-awarenessBreast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, aside from skin cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), an estimated 192,370 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed among women in the United States this year.

An estimated 40,170 women are expected to die from the disease this year alone. Today, there are about 2.5 million breast cancer survivors living in the United States.

We remember a time when many people were unaware of how significantly Breast Cancer impacts our world; now it seems almost everyone, in some way, is affected by it.

For over 25 years, the works of many Breast Cancer Organizations throughout the world have brought awareness to an immeasurable number of people, and continue to educate on the matter.

We at Gore Salon would like to help in the efforts to spread awareness, as well as help the people in our community that are struggling with this disease.

pink ribbonOver the past few months there has been an overwhelming demand for feather hair extensions, and we believe this fashion trend can be put to a good use!

During the month of October the proceeds from every pink feather or hair streak we sell will go to the Alala Cancer Foundation, on organization that brings support to South Carolinians in their fight against cancer!

Our pink feathers are inserted in the hair using a bead, they can be washed, dried, curled or straightened, and they last approximately 4-6 weeks.

The pink streaks we carry are clip in and can be put in and taken out at your discretion, our feathers are $15 and Streaks are $10. We appreciate everyone that is willing to support Breast Cancer Awareness with us this month!

Please call or stop in to show your support!
